Resolution no 34/2020 adopted by the Senate of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences on the 29th of May 2020

on introducing changes to Resolution no. 124/2018 of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences adopted on the 19th of December 2018 on the detailed rules for admitting laureates and finalists of the central level contests, winners of international and national competitions in 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021 / 2022 and 2022/2023

Based on the Art. 79 par. 5b of the Act issued on the 16th of April 2020 on special support instruments corresponding to the spread of the SARS-CoV virus (Journal of Laws, item 695, as amended) and the Art. 28 par. 1 point 10, the Art. 70 par. 6 of the Act issued on the 20th of July  2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended) and §12 par. 1 point 9, § 90 of the Statute of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences as amended adopted on the 28th of June 2019, constituting an attachment to the Resolution No. 56/2019 of the Senate of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences issued on the 28th of  June 2019 on the adoption of the Statute of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in connection with §11e par. 1-5 Regulation of the Minister of National Education issued on the 20th of March 2020 on special solutions during the period of temporary limitation of the functioning of educational system units in connection with the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19 (Journal of Laws 2020, item 493, as amended), it was decided as follows: 

§1

The following changes are introduced to the Resolution No. 124/2018 of the Senate of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences adopted on the 19th of December 2018 on the detailed rules for admitting laureates and finalists of the central level contests, winners of international and national competitions in 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022 / 2023:

1. In §5 par. 1 one deletes the following words: 2020/2021.

2. In §5  the following paragraph 1 a. and 1b. shall be added after par. 1 as follows:

“1a. The winners and finalists of the first five places of the Biology and Chemistry Contests will be admitted to full-time studies in the field of veterinary medicine starting in the academic year 2020/2021 without the necessity to participate in  recruitment procedure.

1b. When it comes to studies starting in the academic year 2020/2021 in the field of veterinary medicine, the order of admitting the winners and finalists of the Biology and Chemistry contests are determined by the results on the secondary school graduation examination certificate in reference to the qualification subjects listed in the Resolution No. 61/2019. The winners of the Contests which took place in the 2018/2019 school year have priority in the recruitment process.

3. In §5 par. 3 one deletes the following words: 2020/2021

4. §6 is provided with the following wording:

“1. The laureates and finalists of the first ten places of the central level contests are to be admitted to the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences without the need to participate in the qualification procedure observing the attachment to this resolution, subject to par. 2.

2. The winners and finalists of the central level contests and national contests listed in the Attachment 1 to Resolution No. 124/2018 are to be admitted to studies starting in the academic year 2020/2021 at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences without the need to participate in the recruitment procedure. . The number of laureates and finalists of each subject contest listed in the attachment, admitted to a particular field of study cannot exceed 10. The order of admission is determined by the results  presented on the secondary school graduation examination certificate for the recruitment subjects listed in Resolution 61/2019. If the candidate has results in more than one recruitment subject on the secondary school graduation examination certificate, the best result is to be taken into consideration. Priority in the recruitment process is granted to the winners of the contests held in the school year 2018/2019.” 

§3

Other provisions of the Resolution No. 124/2018 of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences adopted on the 19th of December 2018 on the detailed rules for admitting laureates and finalists of the central level contests, winners of international and national contests in 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 remain unchanged.

§4

The resolution becomes effective on the date of its adoption.
