Order No. 173/2020 of the Rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences of June 16, 2020

regarding the implementation of the Regulations on the procedure for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university, confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level and determining the amount of fee for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university and the procedure for confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level as well as the procedure and conditions for exemption from such a fee

Pursuant to Articles 23 (2) (2) 327 (1-8) of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended) and the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of September 28, 2018 regarding the procedure for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university and confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level (Journal of 2018, item 1881) and according to § 8 (2) (3) (2) and § 97 (6) of the Statute of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, adopted on June 28, 2019 (as amended), constituting an attachment to Resolution No. 56/2019 of the Senate of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences of June 28, 2019 on the adoption of the Statute of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, it is ordered as follows:

§ 1


The “Regulations on the procedure for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university and confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level”, constituting Attachment No. 1 to this Order, hereby become effective.

§ 2

  1. A fee of 50% of professorial remuneration specified in the regulations on the minimum basic monthly salary for a professor at a public university is charged for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university or for confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level.

  2. The fee is paid regardless of the results of the procedure for granting recognition to
    a degree from a foreign university or confirming the finishing of college/university at
    a certain level within 14 days from the date of submitting the application, to the University’s bank account or at its cashier’s window.

  3. A person applying for recognition to a degree from a foreign university or for confirmation the finishing of college/university at a certain level may seek exemption from the fee referred to in point 1 due to documented difficult financial situation. The decision on exemption
    from the fee is made by the Rector. The application for exemption from the fee is submitted to the Rector through a relevant dean.

  4. The fee referred to in point 1 shall not be collected if the University is not competent to grant recognition to a degree from a foreign university or to confirm the finishing of college/university at a certain level.

§ 3


The procedure for granting recognition to a degree from a foreign university or the procedure for confirming the finishing of college/university at a certain level that was initiated but has not been completed before the effective date of this Order, shall be followed based on the existing regulations.

§ 4


The Order becomes effective on the day of its signature.
