Order No. 190/2009 of the Rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences of October 16, 2009

regarding establishing the rules of using drying devices by students accommodated in hall of residents of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences

Pursuant to Article 66 (2) of the Act of July 27, 2005 – Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws, No. 164, item 1365, as amended) and § 48 (2) of the Statute of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, the following is ordered:

§ 1


Students accommodated in halls of residents and students of the University of Life Sciences living in private accommodation may use drying devices put in in halls of residents.

§ 2

  1. A student who wants to use the drying device buys a token in the reception desk of the hall of residence and pays the price set by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education.

  2. The price of the token will be set at least once per academic year based on the operating costs which include wear and tear of equipment, power consumption and applicable VAT. For the academic year 2009/2010, the price of the token is PLN 1.50 gross (one złoty, fifty groszes gross).

  3. The student who buys a token confirms the fact of making the payment by putting his/her signature on the list according to the following columns: name, surname, year and faculty, student ID number, payment amount, payment date and the student’s signature.

§ 3

  1. Receptionists employed in halls of residence bear joint material responsibility for the payments accepted.

  2. Each time after the end of the shift, a receptionist from a given hall of residence hands the cash and tokens over to his/her substitute who starts the shift, which will be noted in a duty roster.

  3. The entry on the cash and tokens hand-over should include the amount to be transferred and the number of tokens; it should also bear the signatures of both receptionists.

  4. Cash should be kept in a metal, locked cassette.

  5. Receptionists collecting fees for using the drying device shall settle the accounts with the hall manager against receipt, at least once every 2 weeks; they should, however, settle their accounts for a given calendar month no later than on the first working day of the following calendar month.

§ 4

  1. Tokens are taken out of the drying devices collectively and the minutes thereof are taken.

  2. Tokens are handed over to receptionists against receipt.

§ 5


At least once every 2 weeks the head of the hall of residence pays to the University’s account the amounts obtained from the sale of tokens that constitute the hall of residence income, however payments for a given calendar month must be made to the University’s account no later than on the first working day of the following calendar month.

§ 6


Managers of halls of residence are required to provide to the drying room an instruction manual for the drying device as well as health and safety requirements related to the operation of the device.

§ 7

  1. Managers of halls of residence are entrusted with the tasks of executing the Order.

  2. The Head of the Department of Student Affairs is entrusted with the task of supervising the Order execution.

§ 8


Attachments No. 1 and No. 2 constitute an integral part of this Order.

§ 9


The Order becomes effective on the day of its signature.
