annouunces an open competition for the position

of an assistant professor (POST-DOC) in the group of research staff

at the Department of Applied Bioeconomy

in the project entitled:

"Research on the microbiological mechanism of increasing the production of biomethane from bio-waste by coal processes"

Project financed by the National Science Center

as part of the competition „OPUS 22” implemented under a grant agreement nr UMO-2021/43/B/ST8/01924

Description of tasks in the position:

• implementation of tasks related to the project assigned by the Project Manager, including:
• production of carbon materials as well as characteristics of their composition;
• production of inoculum;
• research on biomethane production, characteristics of the digestate;
• SEM-EDX analysis of carbon materials;
• confocal laser microscopy;
• determination of zeta potential;
• statistical analysis, data collection, analysis, and validation;
• participation in conducting research on applied bioeconomies;
• participation in writing publications for highly-scored IF journals on the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
• active substantive participation in the preparation and submission of applications for research funding under open national and international competitions.

Requirements for candidates:

• has a Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering, mining, and energetics, or in environmental sciences, or in chemical sciences or biological sciences, or in related sciences;
• has experience in characterizing: waste properties, biotechnology, molecular genetics, analytical chemistry, biosorption, bioaccumulation, handling microbiology, biotransformation of organic matter, biochar or hydrochar production and their place;
• has experience in collecting and gathering information (data collection, data analysis);
• has at least 2 scientific publications in IF journals;
• knows English at the level of min. B2.

• monthly salary PLN 10,000 gross gross (double gross);
