announces an open competition for the position of an

assistant professor in a group of research and teaching staff

at the Institute of Spatial Management

Description of tasks in the position:

• conducting research activities in the topics of the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial economy. including obtaining external funds for research projects;
• preparing and teaching classes in English in the field of Spatial Economy or related disciplines;
• dissemination of research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in the SCOPUS or Web of Science database;
• participation in scientific conferences/symposia;
• participation in workshops and trainings to improve teaching and research skills and professional competence;
• participation in organizational work for the benefit of the unit and the university;
• other tasks assigned by the head of the unit, resulting from the profile and nature of the unit and the university.

Requirements for the candidate:
 

• holds at least a doctoral degree in environmental design or in related sciences;
• has teaching experience at the academic level in teaching English, particularly in the field of spatial management;
• has research experience in the analysis of environmental and social factors in urban systems;
•  has a scientific output published in scientific journals indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science database, including at least demonstrated publication output in scientific journals at the Q1 level as first author or corresponding author;
• has a record of scientific achievements in the form of presentations at scientific conferences and seminars;
• has experience in the implementation of research projects funded by external sources, including: HORIZONT2020/HORIZON EUROPE, ERC, NCN, NCBR, MEiN;
• has demonstrated activity in raising competencies in the area of sustainable development in spatial economy in English (e.g. circular economy, nature-based solutions, sustainable cities, or similar);
• has research interests in line with the area of research in the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial economy...;
• experience in non-research projects i.e. teaching, implementation is welcome;
• has a good command of the Polish language both spoken and written;
• knows English at the level of min. B2;
• meets the criteria indicated in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018:
• enjoys full public rights;
• has full legal capacity;
• has not been sentenced by a final judgment for a deliberate crime or a deliberate fiscal crime;
• has not been punished with a disciplinary penalty of expulsion from the university with a ban on working in universities for a period of 6 months to 5 years or deprivation of the right to practice as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.

• results achieved in the career so far: candidate's mobility, obtained grants, conducted research, innovative activities, openness to entrepreneurship and practical aspect of scientific research;
• scans of diplomas confirming education.
